Sunschool is a “Saturday School” type of online/video-based curriculum for children aged 5-16, airing on Youtube @CNSMITH_AUTHORIZED. Curriculum is geared towards teaching American & African aboriginal technology, culture, sciences, history, agriculture, values, etc. that will NOT be taught in the average public school in the United States. However, the goal is to eventually bring Sunschool into a brick & mortar location, where children can be free to learn in a fun and nurturing environment.
Sunschool aims to be the bridge that assists full-time working parents with the education of their children, whether they are homeschooling their children or sending them to public school.
For example:
- It is highly valued and an honor for older older siblings to be able to assist their younger siblings.
- Knowledge of self, meaning, who are you? Where do your people descend from? Why is this important?
- Self-esteem, sense of emotional well-being, coping mechanisms to deal with stressors and negative outside distractions.
- The importance of a strong, healthy, supportive, family unit at home.
This underlying value system will be promoted and incorporated as much as possible throughout every lesson.
We proudly and willingly serve. Presently, all video lessons are free. However, parents are free to purchase hard copies of the forthcoming Sunschool workbooks, journals, supplemental reader lesson books, pencils etc., once they are published. Students of Sunschool do not need these items in order to participate and learn! Hope to see you there!
