A Haitian Folktale that Teaches Children, “Beware of Who You Listen To…”

Haiti has such a rich history! Like many indigenous cultures, the Haitians passed down their history through oral traditions. Storytelling served two purposes: teaching, which preserved the culture, and entertainment!

Tales of Bouki & Malice have been told in Haiti for as long as anyone can remember.

Here’s a fun one that tells of Bouki learning how to dance, but, Malice is the one that teaches him and if Malice is involved, there’s definitely going to be some mischief as well!
