Yes, Yes, It’s Time To Start Teaching Our Children How to Grow Their Own Food. Maybe This Will Inspire You…

I’ve been feeling the nudge for quite some time, almost two years now, that I need to start my own garden. I failed miserably when I first started! My lettuce, onions, sweet peppers, basil and marigolds all died long slow deaths. But, hey, I’m no quitter and now, my gardening skills are improving, and I’m learning more and more as I go.

I can’t be the only one that’s noticing the food prices going up. Because of this and other uncertainties in the world that are outside of our control, it’s a good idea to learn how to grow one’s own food and to get the children involved in this endeavor.

Why not come with me on a field trip to the Rooted in Rising Backyard Garden in Modesto, CA? You just may be inspired to start your own garden! I certainly hope so!
