Can Being Observant Also be Described as Possessing a Superpower? You Decide…

In the second installment of, “It’s Storytime! On AUTHORized”, I bring you one of my favorite African folktales, Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock, retold by Eric A. Kimmel and Illustrated by Janet Stevens.

The Anansi tales are believed to have originated in Ghana with the Ashanti people. In the Akan language, “Anansi”, means “spider”. In these African folktales, Anansi’s character is that of a trickster.

In this episode, Anansi is definitely up to his old tricks! However, to find out how powerful being observant can actually be, you’ve got to watch!

Also, if you’ve never heard of Anansi before…after reading along with me, you’ll want to hear more tales about this little trickster!

This tale will be fun for the whole family!

If you have any books you would like to turned into storytime episodes on AUTHORized, feel free to comment below and let me know!

Cheers,
